Note From Father Benedict

Through the prayers of St. Cyril of Jerusalem (+386), our church’s heavenly patron, Lord Jesus Christ our God have mercy on us Amen.

Brothers and sisters,

Archbishop Alexander has now issued a strict guideline that only 10 people are permitted at any service in the church through the end of March. Therefore you have a blessing to remain at home if you are not a designated singer, server, or security. Similar strict guidelines have also been made by other dioceses of the OCA, the Midwestern Diocese of ROCOR, and the entire Antiochian Archdiocese.

We were able to livestream the Presanctified Liturgy last night (thank you, Gail and Cathy) on our mission’s Facebook page. (The service is also still available to watch if you missed it.) God willing, we will continue to livestream all the services until things return to normal. You do not have to have an account with Facebook to see our page and watch services online.

We will get through this time of testing, and we will stay together as the people of God in prayer, wherever we are physically.

“Whatever you do, it’s got to be for God’s glory and for the good of the neighbor, and you’ve got to do it without judging those who do it differently. Christ came not to judge the world, but to save the world.”  - St. Paisios of Mt. Athos
